Taste of Tucker Farmers Market

I am new to blogging, but hopefully I’ll learn fast. Just wanting to let everyone know that the Taste of Tucker Farmers’ Market will be officially opening on Saturday, May 28th at the Canaan Valley location. This is a brand new location for the market so we’re excited to see how it goes. The market will be held in front of the Trail Mix store. At first we may be a little light in the veggie department, as it is still early, but we will also have crafters and artisans from the area selling goods. Other market locations in Parsons and Thomas will open as soon as the produce is ready!

Word on the street is that it will begin at 10 am and end at 2pm. Is this accurate? I should be there with some tasty organically grown salad lettuce, bulls blood beet tops, kale and veggie plants for your own garden.

We are very excited about the farmers market. We will have radishes, some green onions, some herbs, and art. We are starting the market at 10:00. Cory, I’m pschyed you are going to be a part of our market. See you Saturday.

Nice to see you yesterday. Always dreaming about fresh strawberries! We can only hope for that sort of weather (maybe a little less wind…).

We had our farmers market vendor meeting last night so we could iron out some details. The hours for all locations are below:

    Parsons Senior Center: Wednesdays 10am-1pm
    Davis Hypnocoffee: Fridays 4pm-6pm
Canaan Trail Mix Store: Saturdays 10am-2pm

We are thinking of having some 4-H involvement in the market so stay tuned for a 4-H location and time for 4-Hers to sell goods from their summertime gardening projects. We may also combine with the existing markets. Not sure at this point how it will work out.
